Bicycle Sport Staff Gift Picks
Shopping for the cyclist on your gift list (even if it’s you!) doesn’t have to be hard. In fact, we’re going to make it downright easy for you this Christmas with the Bicycle Sport Staff Gift Picks. Every week, we’ll tip you to some great gift ideas, courtesy of the guys who spend all day dreaming of great ways to put it to use. Today it’s Justin’s turn for some show-and-tell with just a few of the great gift ideas you can find around the shop!
Kuat NV Rack: $549
I love this rack because it makes carrying your bikes extremely easy. You can load your bike in just a few seconds and never worry about it moving around or damaging nice carbon frames. The rack grabs the front wheel and rear wheel making it work with virtually any bike and comes in a 2 bike or 4 bike version. Added bonus, it looks sweet on the back of your car in the gray and orange color!
Bontrager Flare R Tail Light: $59.99
Whats the most important thing about a tail light? It has to be freaking bright! The Flare R gives you all the blinky features you need with day and night visibility. It comes with a few mounting options and is very sleek and minimal. I love this light because i can run on the lower intensity, still be very visible and extend the battery run time allowing me to charge every couple of rides as opposed to every ride like some lights I’ve had in he past. Pro Tip , if you’re heading out for a group ride run the light on the lowest setting to save the retinas of you’re fellow cyclist.
Giro Empire VR90 mountain bike shoes – $299.99
These are by far my favorite pair of cycling shoes I’ve ever owned. The soles are nice and stiff but grippy for those times you unfortunately have to walk. These shoes are so comfortable because of the laces and they allow you get a really tailored fit as your move up the shoe tightening the laces. The biggest draw for me had to be the orange laces, but since then I’ve bought about 10 pairs of absurd color laces and swapped them out periodically. My favorite color so far…..leopard print.
