The bike brand that made its name in the aluminum frame building biz is arguably offering up some of the best in carbon bikes these days. Disbelievers need look no further than the 2017 Cannondale lineup here at Bicycle Sport.
The SuperSix EVO, the backbone of Cannondale’s road bike line, now includes rim brake AND disc brake versions, as well as two frame levels: the SuperSix EVO Hi-MOD and SuperSix EVO Carbon. Both are available in men’s and women’s versions, with Shimano groups ranging from 105 to D12. Literally, Cannondale has something for everyone and every type of rider in the SuperSix EVO.
Our man Brian Roney has wrenched practically any and every kind of bike that’s come through the shop here at Bicycle Sport. He gives the new SuperSix EVO models a hearty thumbs-up. No kidding. He really said that.
But back to the bikes. Cannondale says it’s excited to be offering disc brakes to it’s already well-respected road bike stable. Along with the more confident braking advantages, the SuperSix EVO disc models use an integrated flat-mount disc brake system with a 12mm front thru-axle and internal cable routing on both the frame and fork. Smart and sexy. Rim brake traditionalists won’t be suffering for braking power, either. Shimano’s reputation for sure-footed stoppers is borderline legendary.
But what’s all this talk about stopping? The Cannondale SuperSix EVO is meant to GO! And they will do just that. Fast. Better check ‘em out now here at Bicycle Sport before they get gone!
